Nikon D90 Overview

Nikon D90 Overview

Nikon's new assembly line of digital SLR camera upgrades like crazy the last two years, with low and high-end pro

The line-up will be updated after the upgrade, but the mid-level SLR, in particular, has gone more than 18 months without an

update.

Although the Nikon D80 features a rich set of features and maintain a high residual value during his tenure, is due to an upgrade.

Although it is late to the party, the Nikon D90 is fashionable, like its predecessor in autumn 2006. Comes with a walk

Most of the current hot features that the D80 lacked, plus a new twist to make them all with its relevance and usefulness.

With a 12.3 megapixel sensor, the Nikon D90 increased the resolution of the more professional D300. He also shares the same

sensitivity as the D300, 200 to ISO 3200 in addition to L1 (100) and H1 (6400).

Another key update to the Nikon D90 is the move to high-resolution 3 "LCD screen. The screen has 920,000 pixels

viewing angle of 170 degrees and it looks as beautiful as the new screens available on the D3 and D300. Makes the control and

focus

using the Live View mode, which is much more enjoyable.

New in the midrange for Nikon Live View function provides some new tricks on found on Nikon D90

high-end predecessors, in particular, as a facial recognition technology. Surprisingly, there is a phase detection available on the

Nikon AF

D90 in Live View mode with contrast-detect only three ways: face priority, wide area and normal area. Just as we saw

consumer cameras, face detection mode, a box around detected faces and follow them on the screen. The Nikon D90

can monitor up to five faces. Live View is activated with a special key just right of the LCD.

While face detection in Live View mode is useful, the utility will continue, as it is now an integral part of Nikon's Scene Recognition

System (SRS). Thanks to measure 420-pixel matrix, the Nikon D90 sensor, measurement Color SRS combined with auto focus

sensor data exposure and white balance and harmony with a certain prejudice against more accurately exposed faces. In theory,

this

It should also make sure that the Nikon D90 is aimed at one eye instead of a nose or forehead. If this is true, in practice, this is a

great

advance. Facial recognition is still in the game i-TTL flash control.

The Nikon D90 11-point phase detection AF system is dressed in a diamond pattern and now includes 3D tracking focus as

the D3 and D300.

Since the start of the live view on digital SLRs, the obvious question is: "Why not a movie? If you have a picture to be drawn

directly from

sensor, because you can not record? "Nikon is the first to answer the question in a resounding" You! "The Nikon D90 records

films such as Motion JPEG AVI format at 24 frames per second at what they call "equivalent 720p" resolution: 1,280 x 720.

Other resolutions are 640 x 424, and 320 x 216. Even if you have manual focus, aperture and continues throughout the

recording, audio for video is captured by mono microphone on the camera.

A new lens comes with the kit Nikon D90 as well: the 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6 ED VR Nikkor lens with an Extra-low Dispersion

and a hybrid aspherical elements improve image quality.

The Nikon D90 started shipping to the U.S. market in September 2008 for an MSRP of $ 999.95 or $ 1,299.95 with

18-105mm f/3.5-5.6 ED VR. (Note to save about $ 100 to buy the lens with the kit).
